The project “30 Years after the Fall of the Berlin Wall – Significance and Lessons Learned” (2019-2021) was co-founded by Europe for Citizens programme of the European Union and led by the Centar za Demokratsku Tranziciju – CDT of Podgorica.
The initiative aims to raise awareness of remembrance, common history, and values among citizens of the EU and the Western Balkans, as well as to contribute to the understanding of the EU, its history and diversity through the commemoration of one of the major historical turning points in recent European history.
The various project’s initiatives included thematic public debates in seven countries in order to analyse the impact of 1989 events on the European civilisation and citizenship, and their influence on current political challenges.
